Our clubhouse renovations are progressing very well. The new lounge area and function area are complete and we are now working on the reception area, the entrance foyer and front veranda. The transformation of our clubhouse is due to the dedication and hard work of our Club Secretary Henriette Pedersen and President Geoff Brooks. We have also had a group of members who have given so freely of their time to assist. So Thank You so much to Ted Healey, Nev Kerrison, Warren Kennedy, Mitch Luka, Don Lovett, Brian Giblett, Jenny and Steve Lewicki, Ricky Cohen, Max, Garry and Vicki Nightingale and Sue Brooks.

Our club relies heavily on volunteer work and when we work together it makes the job so much easier. The club house gardens are also looking good, thanks to the hard work of Graham Dean and Barb Watters and we have new cart paths on the 8th, 13th & 16th holes. The club would like to Thank the local businesses who have been so helpful during the work, Ron Evans Painting, Rob Minner Electrical, Carpet One Lithgow, Lithgow Glass, Mountain Mist Glass, Q Office Furniture Orange, Ricmar Furniture Wetherill Park and Essential Earthmoving. Hopefully our members and visitors will appreciate and enjoy our new facilities.

The Blue Mountains 2016 Pennant Series have been completed. Unfortunately, the Seniors Team was beaten in a play-off against Springwood last weekend. The Masters Team were successful in winning their division. Well done and Thank you to all our players who gave up their weekends to represent our club. Centennial Coal is sponsoring the Club Championships which get underway at the weekend. The club is extremely grateful to Centennial Coal for their continued and generous sponsorship of our club. Due to the hot dry weather our course is a little dry at present but the course staff are working very hard to make sure that it is presented in the best possible condition. Thanks also to Greg Guest and his team who recently cored the tees.

The Lithgow Ladies are holding their 2016 Open Day on Monday 11th April. Lean and Bennett Toyota have again sponsored this event. The Mixed Foursome Championships are set down for 10th and 17th April. These will again be sponsored by our long term sponsor L J Hooker real Estate. The Ladies really appreciate the participation of both of these sponsors. The Blue Mountains Ladies Pennant Series have just begun and the Lithgow team had a good first up win. Our best wishes go with the girls as they continue.

Good Health and Good Golfing.
