The Lithgow Golf Club course was again set up at its hardest for the monthly medals with the medals sponsored by Ron Evans Painting.
As usual there were a handful that handled the conditions with the best net score coming out of B-Grade when Gary Keen returned a 68 nett.
Keen has hit a ‘purple patch’ of late and is playing some good consistent golf.Runner up to Keen was Mitch Luka on 69 nett.
In A-Grade Don Farnsworth has also found some good form and handled the difficult conditions to return a 69 nett. Runner up was the consistent Andrew Burton on 71 nett.
C-Grade was young Bailey Marshall on 71 nett on a countback. Bailey is the son of Michael who now reside in the Port Macquarie area and is the grandson of good member Gary Marshall. Runner up was Greg Jackson also on 71 nett.
Monthly medal winners were the grade winners except for visitor Bailey who was ineligible and the C-Grade medal went to Jackson.
Best scratch score were returned by A-Grade Andrew Burton 72, B-Grade Kobe Hunter 84 and C-Grade Greg Jackson 92.
Nearest to the pin awards were Andrew Burton, Greg Hunter, Rod Bright, John Chadwick and Gary Keen.
Balls went to those with 73 nett ocb.
This Saturday (May 5) will be a single stableford followed next week (May 15) will be a two ball best ball.
The draw for the scratch match play is on the board and the first round is to be completed by May 25.
