Ladies Results Week Ending 11th May 2025

Unfortunately the Mixed Foursomes to be held early in May had to be postponed and will now probably be held sometime in September if dates are available.

Julie Rosewarne, a learner from the beginners clinic late last year and who has had a few health problems early in 2025 has now overcome her hip replacement has burst onto the golf scene and is doing very well. Julie has been practicing hard, playing in the Friday 9 holes competition and played her first game in the 18 holes competition on Wednesday and took out the competition with 36 points. The field was slightly reduced with 6 women playing in the annual Bathurst tournament and balls went to Rhonda Thompson, Jennifer Wild and Lynne Ritchie.

Friday in the modified stableford event, Julie cleaned up again scoring 21 points, ball winners were Judi Moore 19, Carol Burton 17 and Fran Le Fevre 16.

The women continue to do well in the Saturday Medley competition with Leonie Hughes and Carol Osborne coming 3rd in the Stroke aggregate last week.

On Wednesday the women will be playing a stroke aggregate for trophies donated by Carol Burton and Leonie Hughes while on Friday a 9 holes modified stableford event will be again played.

Get well wishes to Anne Doohan who has recently undergone heart valve surgery in Norwest Hospital. Anne is now home, recuperating and feeling a lot better. Best wishes from the Golfers.

Our recently held clinic has concluded and anyone wishing to follow up on that should contact either Captain Lynne Ritchie or Secretary Olwyn King for further information.
