After two Wednesdays of competition wash outs, last Wednesday the event was the Monthly medals, once again sponsored by Drummond Golf, Penrith and the Club thanks them for their generous support.
The course is playing very difficult at the moment with the pins set right back on the greens and the tee markers a fair distance back from the permanent markers. The winner of the 1st Division medal was Rhonda Thompson with 78 nett while the 2nd Division had to be decided on a count back with Robyn Houlison counting out Carol Burton. Ball competition was won by Carol Burton, Julie Rosewarne and Lynne Ritchie.
On Friday, the modified stableford was played from the short course markers and it made the course a little easier to handle. 1st Division was won by Lynne Ritchie with 24 points which included an eagle 2 on the 17th hole. 2nd Division was won by Leonie Hughes also with a great score of 24 points. Ball competition was won by Jennifer Wild with 18, Robyn Houlison 17 and Chris Peachman 16 on a count back from Kim Burton.
Next Wednesday the Ladies are playing a 2 person Chapman Foursomes competition with each player playing 2 shots with her ball and then choosing the best ball to play with the non owner of the ball hitting the next shot and alternative shots from then on. A fun game.
