With the course drying out albeit the wind still blowing and the greens in perfect condition last Wednesday finally the August Monthly Medals got to be played with vouchers supplied by Drummond Golf Penrith, thanks to Rod for his continued support of Women’s Golf here in Lithgow. The best score came out of 2nd division, that being Carol Osborne with a 66 nett who won the voucher. 1st Division medal winner was Lynne Ritchie with 71 nett. Ball winners also with good scores were Marie Hackett 69 nett, Jo Staines 70 and Julie Murnane 73. Nearest the Pin on 2nd Jennifer Wild 700cms.
Friday was again a modified stableford event with the winner having to survive a 3 way countback on 20pts. Chris Peachman came out 1st while Jennifer Wild and Julie Murnane came out 2nd and 3rd.
The Ladies Foursomes Championships will hopefully be held on 31st October and 5th November if we can pick up enough starters.
On Wednesday 22nd October, the event will be a Stableford event.
