The winner of the GA comp was Darren Healey with 41 points.
Once again the weather was not kind for the Lithgow Golf Club’s Saturday stableford event with the rain causing a quarter of the field to stay at home — although there were still close to 60 players who braved the elements.
The event was a single stableford and the winner of A grade was Damien Marjoram (1) who showed some of his golfing expertise to finish with a score of 39 points. It was still a bit of an up and down round which featured six birdies. Runner up was Troy Luka (3) who was consistent throughout scoring 37 points.
It was a close contest in B grade with Corey Osborne (12) edging out runner up Kyle Egan after both had finished with 37 points which necessitated a countback.
It was good to see Rua Kenny (29) who has been a consistent player of late in the Saturday competitions and he finished with the best score of the day amassing the big score of 41 points. He was a clear winner with the next best being runner up Kim Flynn (22) back on 34 points.
Vouchers went to Steve Little, Jai Osborne, Graham Dean Rob George! Josh Jones, Ryan Gurney, Travis Cameron and Kel Lampton.
Nearest to the pins went to: 2nd and 4th holes Steve Mays (161cms and 473cms); 9th Kim Flynn (750cms); 13th Troy Luka (172cms) and 18th Carlos Garibotto (630cms).
The popular Monday Vets competition was held this week with Paul Bailey a close winner on 41 points one better than Julie Rosewarne on 40 points. In third position was Dave Warren with 39 points.
Vouchers went to Glen Campbell, John Bird, Darren Healey, Steve Mays, Mark Seckold, Jim Heterick, Carlos Garibotto, Carol Burton, Jennifer Wild, Peter Hall, Craig Pugsley and Greg Guest. Cut was 33 points.
Nearest to the pins were Paul Bailey and Kevin Eagleton.
The Wednesday Sparks Finance – Mortgage Broker Lithgow nine hole competition went to Brian Quick 34 points. Runner up was Warren Kennedy with 18 points counting out Don Wolfenden also on 18 points. Nearest to the pin was Craig Pugsley.

The Friday Central West Leak Detection and Plumbing nine Hole competition was won by Matt Dickson with 23 points ocb.
Runner up also on 23 points was Craig Pugsley and in 3rd place was Darren Hunter with 22 points.
Vouchers went to Howie Fisher, Phil Turner, Al Glendinning and Paul Stewart. Cut was 18 points.
Nearest to the pin was Darren Hunter.
Saturday’s event will be a two ball multiplier.
