It was another sweltering Saturday for golfers at the Lithgow Golf Club with another big field contesting a two ball best ball. It was good to see such a roll up of golfers on the fairways during the day and once the members competition finished a small army of golfers took to the fairways to celebrate Zane Harrington’s bucks day. Zane is the son of popular member Ross Harrington.
The winners of the two ball were Lachlan Roach (10) and Warren Kennedy (29) who probably had the best of the conditions with the pair hitting off early and missing most of the 30 plus degrees temperatures. The pair combined for a winning score of 45 points to win on a countback. Roach was the main man with a personal score of 38 points with Kennedy adding valuable points when necessary. The pair both came home strongly over the back nine which was instrumental in them winning the countback.
The unlucky runners up were Graeme Osborne (19) and Andrew Burton (1) who also finished with 45 points. Osborne had a good day out with a personal score of 37 points.
A single event was held in conjunction with some big scores being returned but it was Kiran Gajula (16) who was a clear winner with a score of 43 points. Runner up was Mitchell Wallace (5) on 40 points. Wallace has been in great form over the past couple of weeks.
