The Women Golfers re-commenced their competition after a months’ recess on 21st January.
Although a hot day, a good field turned up to play the 1st event of the year. The winner was Carol Burton (who had been playing well in the Saturday Medley comp) with 37 points. Ball competition winners were Jennifer Wild, Kim Burton. Robyn Houlison, C.Peachman, M.Hackett and C.Osborne on a count back.
Nearest the Pins were Kim Burton 385 cms on 2nd and Carol Burton in the hole for 2nd shot on 18th.
28th January, extreme temperatures around 34 degrees were forecast so the decision was taken to only play a 9 holes competition.
Wednesday 4th February was a stableford event with scores being very good. The winner in 1st division was Lynne Ritchie with 42 points. 2nd division winner was Judi Moore 38 points ocb. Ball competition winners were Carol Burton 38, Jennifer Wild 37 and Jo Staines 36.
Friday’s modified stableford was won by Jennifer Wild who has been consistent of late with 18 points. 2nd was Julie Rosewarne with 17.
