Results Week Ending 22nd June 2025

One of the best personal scores for a number of months was recorded in the Lithgow Golf Club’s two ball multiplier on a day that was extremely testing due to the heavily frosted greens.
Although the temperatures were extremely low, the weather was superb but the greens were like billiard tables with balls bouncing high off into the surrounds.
The singles win by young Riley Cameron (31) was outstanding as the greens were not only hard as rock, they were also extremely quick which usually is a real test for the high handicapper but Cameron played one of his best competition rounds to post a score of 43 points. His consistent golf saw him register nine hole scores of 21 and 22 points and was five points head of the rest of the field. Runner up in the singles was Josh Jones (14) with a score of 38 points a score that would usually have won the event in recent weeks.
In the two ball Multiplier the winners were Josh Howarth (9) and Anthony Oldfield (3). The event is a testing one as if one player doesn’t score on the hole the team walks off the hole with zero points with a score of 65 points. The main man of the winning team was Howarth with a score of 36 points and has been one of the most consistent golfers over the past couple of months.
Runners up were Leo Murnane (20) and Max Nightingale (6) with a score of 64 points. This was an outstanding score as the pair were one of the first to tee off and would have been confronted with 18 rock hard icy greens that never thawed out until much later in the day. Murnane had an excellent back nine to finish with 36 overall points. Vouchers went to Ryan Gurney, Warren Kennedy, Ian Downey, Cameron Fortune, Rob Peachman, Trevor Cameron and Neil Hutchinson. Vouchers cut was 51 points ocb.
