Results Week Ending 5th October 2025

After a week of strong winds that nearly blew golfers off the Lithgow course a big field were treated to a near perfect day.
The good thing about the winds was that they have dried out the wet fairways with golfers appreciating a bit more ‘run’ which was noticeable especially from the C grade brigade.
The best stableford score of the day came out of C grade with the ever improving Julie Rosewarne (36) posting the excellent score of 44 points which featured a superb back nine of 23 points.
For a C grader breaking 100 is a big deal and Rosewarne did so with a round of 99 and she continues her good run of wins and runners up in C grade sins playing competition golf.
Runner up was Cameron Hann (29) who is another newcomer to Saturday competition golf and he finished with a score of 43.
The A grade winner was one of the club’s most consistent and regular golfers Dave Titcume (😎 who finished with a score of 38 points. Runner up was Andrew Burton (3) with a score of 37 points.
The B grade winner on a countback was Scott Achurch (11) who has returned to golf a number of years out of the game. He has not waisted any time returning to the winners list with a score of 37 points. He had nines of 18 and 19 points while runner up Jeff Geddes (16) who also recorded 37 points had the opposite of 19 points on the front nine and returned with 18 points giving Achurch the countback win.
Vouchers went to those with 35 points and better and they were Julie Murnane, Anthony Boza, Mitchell Luka, Ken Mitchell, Justin McCann, Max Nightingale, Brian Judge, Greg Jackson, Greg Guest, Harry Bender, Rod Bright and Chris Keller.
Nearest to the pin awards went to: 2nd Brian Judge (40cms); 4th Scott Achurch (330cms); 9th Steve Mays (336cms);13th Justin McCann (243xms) and 18th (264cms).
Wednesday Sparks Finance nine hole competition:
Winner was David Hicks with a score of 20 points.
Runner up was Ken Durie on 19 points with third place going to Dave Warren on 17 points.
Vouchers went to Phillip Rooke, Rick Cohen and Paul Stewart. Cut was 16 points ocb.
Nearest to the pins were: 9th Ross King (850cms) and 18th Steve Little (300cms).
Friday Central West Leak Detection nine hole competition:
Winner was Brian Judge with 20 points ocb.
Runner up was Chris Keller also on 20 points with third place going to Trevor Cameron with 19 points ocb.
Vouchers went to Geoff Houlison and Dave Thompson. Cut was 18 points ocb.
Nearest to the pin was Brian Judge on the ninth (117cms).
Saturday’s next event will be a stableford.
