Wednesday 22nd a single stableford event was played in exceptionally wild and windy conditions. The greens had been recently cored but these conditions didn’t deter a lot of players as the scores were excellent. The best score again came out of 2nd division and was that of Julie Rosewarne who continues to improve with every game she plays. Julie amassed 43 stableford points. The 1st division winner, also with a good score was Jennifer Wild with 38 pts. Ball competition winners were Marie Hackett 38, Carol Burton 38 and Lynne Ritchie 37 on a count back.
Nearest the pin 2nd hole was Julie Rosewarne 146cms and 18th – 2nd shot Janice Cohen 2 cms.
Friday was again a modified stableford event with the winner being Trish Beljon with 24 points. Ball competition Marie Hackett 22 pts, Julie Murnane 19 and Leonie Hughes 17 pts.
The Ladies Foursomes Championships will be held on 31st October and 5th November. Draw is on the 1golf book in sheet.
On Wednesday 29th October, the event will be a Stableford event, it will be a draw for partners for trophies provided by Robyn Houlison and Carol Osborne.

The golf course is looking good now with the work being carried out by the Volunteers, they have pruned many bushes and trees and filled in potholes on some of the pathways. Their efforts are appreciated by the players. The Tuesday volunteer group is always looking for recruits so if you are interested, turn up at 9am, fill in the appropriate paperwork and get started.
