Another good field turned out in very strong windy weather at the Lithgow Golf Club to contest a two person aggregate event.
Considering the wind and the tricky slow greens that are still recovering from their recent coring there was still some excellent scores turned in. Fifteen golfers broke their handicap with a number amassing over 40 points.
The winners of the aggregate on a countback were the golfing sisters of Carol Osborne (31) and Julie Murnane (25) who combined for a score of 77 points. Osborne who returned to golf after enjoying a break in Thailand was quick to regain form with a personal score of 41 points. Sister Julie was a steady influence scoring two nines of 18 points for her 36 points.
The girls were too strong over the back nine counting out runners up Mark Seckold (23) and Steve Mays (11) who also finished with 77 points. Seckold in particular was outstanding especially over the first nine scoring 25 points and then came home with 19 points for 44 points which was the best score of the day.
A single event was held in conjunction with Pat Wall (16) putting it all together with 23 points on the front nine and 20 on the back for his 43 points. Runner up on 42 points was Greg Jackson (8 ) with a highly impressive two over par 74.
