The Lithgow Golf Club Easter Cup attracted a big field who were all keen to take home the Easter goodies.
It took a special round from A grade winner Mitchell Wallace (5) to finish with the best nett score of the day, a superb 64 nett.
In one of his best rounds to date Wallace recorded five birdies on the day going out in 35 strokes and powered home over the back nine recording 34 strokes for a round of 69. It was good to see Dave Titcume (9) back in the placings when he finished runner up to Wallace with a score of 68 nett. Titcume had a excellent front nine of 36 to set up his good score.
Damien Marjoram (2) is never far away from the top performers and he again put in a special round to take out the best scratch score with a 68 off the stick in a round that boasted six birdies.
Winner of B grade with a score of 68 nett was Carlos Garibotto (12) who played consistent golf with two nines of 40 strokes. Runner up was a newcomer to competition golf with Matt Dickson finishing with 71 nett on a countback. Best nett score went to Graham Dean (11) with a score of 82. Visitor Tim Wiley (28) from Rosnay took out C grade with a score of 67 nett. Runner up was Jim Heterick (23) with 70 nett on a countback while the scratch score went to C grade club champion Geoff Wheeler (23) with 89 off the stick.
Vouchers went to Dave Warren, Kim Flynn, Paul Bailey, Justin Nelson, Anthony Oldfield and Corey Osborne. Cut was 71 nett ocb.
Nearest to the pins were: 2nd Damien Marjoram (108cms); 4th Justin Nelson (435cms); 9th Julie Murnane (46xms); 13th Kim Burton (410cms) and 18th Troy Luka (268cms).
Sparks Finance – Mortgage Broker Lithgow Wednesday nine hole competition:
Winner with 20 points on a countback was Ron Phelan.
Runner up again on a countback was Craig Pugsley who counted out Michael Casey into third place.
Vouchers went to Ben Sabat and Chris Goodsell. Cut was 18 ocb.
Nearest to the pins were Greg Guest and Rob George.
The GA 18 hole competition went to the inform Carlos Garibotto with 37 points.
Dave Warren was runner up on 31 points.
The Friday Central West Leak Detection and Plumbing nine hole competition went to Riley Gillespie on 24 points.
Runner up was Mark Seckold with 22 points who counted out third placed Craig Holt.
Vouchers went to Ian’s and Brett Nightingale, Greg Guest, Ashton Hunter, Dave Thompson and Chris Goodsell. Cut was 18 ocb.
Nearest to the pin was Ian Nightingale.
