After a freezing Friday the sun shone again for the Lithgow Golf Club’s two ball stroke aggregate event attracting a good field minus the usual dozen or so women golfers who have been enjoying a week of golf on the Murray River golf courses.
The winners were the team of Leo Murnane (20) and Graham Dean (10) with a score of 141. The star of the team was Murnane who finally worked out after many years that hitting off later in the warmer temperatures is a real bonus and he took advantage of this to register a personal score of 68 nett. The pair had a strong back nine enabling them to count out runners up Jai Osborne (14) and Pat Wall (10) who also finished with 141 nett. Osborne had a brilliant front nine shooting a par round and finished with the best single score of the day with a 62 nett.
A singles event was held in conjunction with Warren Kennedy (29) taking out the winning voucher with a score of 68 nett.
