The women’s monthly medals sponsored by Drummond Golf Penrith took on a new format designed to let more women take part with the medals held over Wednesday and Saturday.
Playing on Wednesday in the bitter cold was first division winner Olwyn King (22) with a brilliant score of 65 nett. King has been in excellent form over the past couple of weeks and was a clear winner. Playing on the Saturday was the 2nd division winner Carol Osborne (28) with a score of 75 nett.
Balls went to Julie Rosewarne, Kim Burton and Carol Burton.
Nearest to the pin (second shot on the 18th) was Jennifer Wild (2cms).
On probably the coldest day for a long time it was Debbie Cooper that ‘run hot’ during the nine hole club competition. Cooper put it all together to amass the good score of 17 points to win on a countback.
