Saturday’s event was a two ball multiplier with a good field enjoying some much welcome sun, but the course did offer some tough conditions with no ‘run’ and the greens a bit bumpy following vehicle tracks due to the greens poisoning. The multiplier is a pressure event with both teammates having to score on each hole to score well and this exactly what the winners did so well.
The team consisted of Greg Bright (21) who is a relatively newcomer to competition golf and looks to have all the attributes to do well in the sport. His partner was the very experienced Andrew Burton (3) with Bright finishing the day with 38 points which was the best stableford score of the day while Burton (3) was just as impressive with a score of 37 points. Bright had nines of 17 points on the front nine and hit top form over the back nine with 21 points. Burton showed his consistency with nines of 19 and 18 points with the pair combining for a massive total of 80 points.
There was a large gap back to the runners up Chris Keller (7) and Warren Stevens (12) who finished with 67 points. Keller was the main man with 36 points while Stevens finished with 33 points.
A single event was held in conjunction with a countback needed between Kiran Gajula (15) and Blake Goldspink (3) after both finished with 37 points. Gajula was consistent returning nines of 19 and 18 points while Goldspink would have been happy with his efforts after a two over par 74 round.
Vouchers went to Ben Fraser, Tom Fraser, Chris Goodsell, Anthony Oldfield, Corey Osborne, Travis Cameron, Rod Clarke, Pat Wall, Darren Healey, Peter Dykes, Josh Howarth, Ryan Gurney, Carlos Garibotto, Nathan Harris, Garry Wallace, Les Goldspink and Rod Bright. Cut was 55 points ocb.
Nearest to the pins were: 2nd Greg Bright (610cms); 4th Mitchell Wallace (340cms); 9th Zach Jones (316cms); 13th Paul Bosman (125cms) and 18th Mitchell Wallace (100cms).

The GA 18 hole competition went to Jonathan Van Veen with 35 points with Sam McAndrew runner up on 33 points.

Winner was Brian Judge on 26 points.
Runner up was Wayne Morris with 18 points and in third place was Corey Osborne with 17 points ocb.
