It was a windy short course event at the Lithgow Golf Club with the conditions playing havoc with golfers especially on the back nine.
Only eight players played to their handicap or better with the winner of A grade Damien Marjoram (scratch) posting six birdies with five of them on the front nine. Marjoram who has had previous success in the past in short course events finished with a score of 39 points to count out runner up Ian Downey (3) who also tore the front nine apart scoring six birdies in seven holes. Downey struggled over the back nine but still finished with 39 points.
The B grade winner was the consistent Carlos Garibotto (10) with 36 points. Like most, Garibotto had a great front nine but not so good on the back nine. Runner up was Steve Jennings (18) on 34 points.
C grade went to Ryan Sutor (22) who is another newcomer to competition golf and took out the winning voucher with a credible 37 points and like the other winners found the back nine a tough task. One back on 36 points was Julie Rosewarne (21) who continues to work hard on her game and is now getting the rewards.
Vouchers went to Max Nightingale, Greg Jackson, Michael Saville, Carol Burton, Andrew Burton, Travis Cameron, Mitchell Wallace, Anthony Oldfield, Blake Bender, Dave Titcume, Harry Bender, Dean Stafford, Josh Howarth, Steve Mays, Ken Durie, Kim Burton and Chris Goodsell. The cut was 33 points ocb.
