There was a big field of 70 Lithgow golfers contesting a stableford event with 17 golfers playing to their handicap and among them five amassed 40 points or better. The winner of A grade with 39 points was Max Nightingale (
who since retiring has been playing a lot more golf and it is starting to show just how good he was.

He may now change his mind after complaining about his new sticks and thinking about getting new ones. Steve Hall (scratch) continues to turn in great scores and shot a two under par 70 to give him 38 points. He finished with four birdies with three of them being on the back nine.
B grade winner was Paul Bailey (18) who scored the most stableford points of the day with 42 points. Bailey had a massive 23 points on the back nine and needed every point especially his birdie on the last hole as he finished only one point behind runner up Lleyton Guest on 41 points.
There was good scoring in C grade with Peter Dykes (20) scoring 41 points and is starting to hit some good form since making a comeback to Lithgow golf. Another newcomer in Andrew Griffiths (25) was runner up on 40 points.
Vouchers went to Zach Jones, Christine Peachman, Clint Rochester, Ryan Gurney, Robyn Houlison, Harry Bender, Michael Bennett, Rod Clarke, John Bird, Carol Burton, Jo Banning, Robbie Millar, Gary Wallace, Darren Hunter, Greg Guest, Craig McManus, and Michael McManus. Cut was 34 points ocb.
Nearest to the pins were: 2nd Andrew Griffiths (90cms); 4th Lleyton Guest (205cms); 9th Gary Wallace (121cms); 13th Ryan Gurney (235cms) and 18th Paul Bailey (88cms).

The winner of the $40 Workies voucher was Kim Burton on 39 points. Runner up on 38 points was Geoff Houlison and in third place was Dave Dowler with 36 points ocb.
