The Lithgow women’s golf event was a two ball aggregate held in extremely chilly conditions. The winning pair were Carol Burton (27) and Krystan Griffiths (40) who combined for an excellent 69 points but it was only after a countback as needed from ball winners Olwyn King (21) and Kim Burton (26). It was a pleasing win for Griffiths who gained a win over her mother Kim Burton.
The Friday nine hole competition (Oct 9) was held in much kinder sunny conditions with Julie Rosewarne being a clear winner with a score of 27 points. Rosewarne has been in good form for a number of months and usually figures in the winners’ list.
Runner up on 18 points was Kaye Buttigieg who has also been playing some good golf of late and her score earned her a ball.
