The best round of the Lithgow Golf Club’s stableford event went to Kobe Hunter (5). It was a real ‘smorgasbord’ round for the talented Hunter who posted a round of 38 points. His round consisted of two double bogies, five bogies, five pars but the big plus for his round was an excellent six birdies that all added up to a scratch score of three over par 75.
The A grade runner up on 37 points was Steve Hall (+2) who was also impressive. Hall shot a round of 69 which consisted of four birdies and an eagle on the par five 15th again showing his high standard of talent.
The B grade winner was Michael Saville (11) with a score of 37 points and he continues his good form that has seen him a regular in the recent placings. Runner up on 33 points was Jeff Geddes (14) and he too has enjoyed success over the past couple of weeks.
The C grade winner was one of the club’s up and coming golfers with young Brodie Carter (19) finishing on 36 points which featured an excellent back nine of 21 points. Runner up was Christine Peachman (35) who was one of an excellent turn out of women and she too enjoyed a strong back nine of 20 points.
Vouchers went to Dennis Wallace, Brian Judge, Max McCann, Max Nightingale, Harry Bender, Dave Titcume, Neil Hutchinson and Ben Achurch. Cut was 34 points ocb. Nearest to the pins were: 2nd Steve Hall (218cms); fourth Rod Bright, 9th Troy Luka; 13th Kiraz Gajula (156cms) and the18th Darren Hunter (244cms).
There was an error in last week’s two ball stroke aggregate results with a mix up in the handicaps. Once it was sorted out the actual winners were Dave Titcume and Dave Muir on 146 nett with the runners up vouchers going to Carol Osborne and Leonie Hughes who finished on 147 nett.
This week’s Saturday event will be the monthly medals in conjunction with the medley stroke event.

The winner was Al Mostyn (10) with a score of 37 points.
Runner up and winner of the Workies voucher was Mark Seckold (24) on 36 points. In third position was the inform Michael Saville with a score of 35 points ocb. Vouchers went to Dave Warren and Dave Titcume, Cut was 34 points ocb. Nearest to the pin was Greg Guest on the 18th (756cms).
Wednesday PFD Food Services nine hole competition:
The winner was Steve McCann on 18 points.
Runner up was Dave Muir with 17 points and in third place was Luke Brown on16 points. Vouchers went to Dave Little, Warren Kennedy, Paul Bailey, Ken Durie and Wayne Morris. Cut was 15 points ocb. Nearest to the pins were: 9th Brian Judge (443cms) and 18th Jeff Geddes (1000cms)
Friday Central West Leak Detection and Plumbing nine hole competition:
Winner was Blake Goldspink on 21 points. Runner up was Wayne Morris on 20 points and Jai Osborne on 19. Vouchers went to Michael Bennett, Dave Monk, Ashton Hunter and Ross King. Cut was 17 points ocb. Nearest to the pin was Craig Pugsley on the ninth (362cms).
