Results Week Ending 26th April 2026

It has been a sad couple of weeks at the Lithgow Golf Club with the loss of two long term members with the latest being the passing of Gary Marshall. Gary was on the board member and keen competitor for many years and had the honour of having life membership of the club bestowed on him. The club was a big part of his life enjoying time on the fairways with his three sons Michael, David and Andrew and in later years his grandsons. Condolences go out this his wife Pauline and all of Gary’s family.
The April monthly medals were held on Saturday attracting a large field who enjoyed near perfect weather. The medals went to (in A, B and C grade sequence:) Paul Bosman, Rob Peachman and Chase Nightingale.
The best nett score of the day came out of C grade with Carol Osborne (29) playing some of her best golf to register the excellent score of 63 nett. It has been a great couple of weeks for Osborne who was an integral part of the all conquering women’s team who took out the Blue Mountains pennant series and congratulations goes out to her and the rest of the team from all of the club.
Osborne’s success followed on her returning from a golfing holiday in Vietnam and it seems that she hits top form every time she returns after enjoying an overseas holiday. She set up her winning score with a great front nine of 43 and then played under her handicap coming home. Runner up was young Chase Nightingale (36) who won his first monthly medal with a score of 70 nett and looks to be real prospect.
