The recent rains have slowed the course down with the ‘run’ just about non existent but this did not deter the women golfers who love their golf and turn out whatever the conditions.
The event on Wednesday was the monthly medals sponsored by Drummond Golf Penrith with the 1st division medal going to Christine Peachman (22) and Carol Osborne (28) taking out the 2nd Division medal. Peachman has been working hard on her game thanks to some ‘wise’ men who helped her out earlier in the week. She produced an excellent back nine of 46 strokes to set up her winning score of 76 nett.
Osborne had a good day out returning the best nett score of the day with two consistent nines of 51 for her 74 nett.
Balls went to Julie Murnane and Julie Rosewarne.
