With the boys back from their two week golfing holiday in Vietnam the numbers were excellent for the Lithgow Golf Club’s two ball multiplier.
It was a real shock for the holiday makers with temperatures going from the 30’s overseas to near zero back home.
It was tough going with only two players breaking their handicaps.
The multiplier provides a lot of pressure with both players having to score on each hole — if one doesn’t score the team has a miss.
The winners Adrian Sharp (12) and Graham Dean (10) who combined well and although neither played to their handicap they were consistent to finish with a score of 69 points.
It was a big effort from Sharp who had only a hour and a half sleep between night shift and his tee time but battled on to be rewarded with a winning voucher.
Runners up were the Bender boys, Blake (1) and younger brother Harry (+2) finishing two behind on 67 points.
Once again Harry showed why he is the club champion with a three under par 69 off the stick.
There was a single event held in conjunction with newcomer Cameron Hann (26) the winner with a score of 37 points.
Runner up on 36 points was the experienced Max McCann (10).
Vouchers went to Heidi Inwood, Matt Dickson, Mitchell Wallace, Blake and Les Goldspink, Darren Healey, Alan Mostyn, Jeff Geddes, Paul Stewart, Darren Hunter, Rod Clarke, Dave Muir, Damien Marjoram, Andrew Burton and Leo Murnane. Cut was 57 points ocb.
