The Lithgow Golf Club women contested the Chapman foursomes on Wednesday and the winners were Julie Murnane (20) and Patricia Aidulis (34) with their combined handicap being 20.25.
Foursomes is one of the pressure events in golf with both team members trying not to let their partner down in the shot for shot format. The recent wet weather made it even more difficult with fairways soft making the course playing extremely long.
Their winning score was 77.75 nett edging out runners up Carol Osborne (28) and Kim Flynn (21) who finished with a score of 79.625 nett with Osborne looking particularly fresh following her globetrotting holiday.
