Golfers enjoyed a superb winters day on Wednesday before the icy winds struck over the next couple of days.
Leading the field in a 18 hole stroke event was one of Lithgow’s best sporting identities in Olwyn King (22) who played consistent golf to register a 74 nett.
King had two nines of 48 to edge out Julie Rosewarne by one stroke with the pair standouts in the competition by a large margin.
Rosewarne was a ball winner along with Carol Osborne.
It was good to see Debbie Cooper in the Friday nine hole event winner’s list with a score of 17 points on a countback.
Cooper has recently dusted off her golf club’s and has made a successful return to competition golf.
