After bursting onto the golf scene and winning a number of events with her high handicap, Julie Rosewarne (28) has now shown that she has consistency each week. Rosewarne took out the Wednesday competition (August 12) with a score of 36 points which was an excellent score considering that during the night there was some heavy rain which took away what ‘run’ there was on the course and the holes were set up in very tricky spots. Others to play well and win balls were Robyn Houlison and Carol Burton and it is good to see the number of girls who have really taken to the sport.
Rosewarne continued her excellent form on the Friday (August 14) in the nine hole competition with another top score of 22 points which was played on a beautiful sunny day.
Runner up was Kay Buttigieg with 17 points.
