The big news that came out of Saturday’s stableford event came out of B grade with both placegetters carding 37 points but for one of them it was his first hole in one. Brian Judge (4) who is always up around the best scores took the A grade win with a score of 36 points. He was the model of consistency with two nines of 18 points.
Club captain Chris Keller (7) survived a countback from Steven Hall (scratch) to take the runner up voucher after C grade saw the club’s ‘elder statesman’ Ken Durie (28) equalling the best stableford score of the day with 37 points after both finished with 35 points.
