Results Week Ending 30th August 2026

With the fairways rain sodden due to recent rain and the tees and hole placements back as far as possible it was a tough day for the majority of a good field that contested the August Monthly Medals again sponsored by Henry Plant & Equipment Hire Pty Ltd.
The length of the course did not hold any difficulties for Dave Thompson (4) who chews up the long holes with his big hitting to take out the A grade voucher and medal. It was a superb round for Thompson carding a 67 nett that boasted four birdies which added up to a one under par 71 off the stick which was the best of the day. Runner up was Brian Judge (4) with a score of 70 nett. Judge is one of the most consistent golfers in the club and showed this with nines of 35 and 39. Best scratch score went to Steve Hall (1) with 73 off the stick.
The B grade medal and grade winner went to a relatively newcomer to the Saturday competitions with Warren Stevens (14) carding a score of 70 nett. It is good to see so many newcomers playing each week especially among the women golfers who help to bolster numbers. Runner up was Dave Hicks (17) taking the voucher with a score of 71 nett on a countback. Best scratch score went to Darren Healey with the good score of 83 on a countback.
