Colleen McMahon (45) struck again to take the major prize in Wednesday’s golf stableford. She has been a regular in the placegetters in recent weeks and again this week she was a clear winner with the massive score of 45 points, nine points better than her nearest rival. Her score was all the more meritorious considering the course has been playing longer due to recent rain that has been falling of a night all week.
It is good to see Kim Flynn back to regular golf after a medical issue and she back to near her best and was one of two to win balls. The other winner was Carol Burton. Balls cut out on 32 points on a countback.
