The lady golfers contested an interesting fun event with a talented field contesting a short course stroke event. Golfers have had to endure a mixture of weather conditions over the past month that plays havoc with the speed of the greens.
Chrissy Peachman (18) is a class player and showed this with an excellent 68 nett. Her round was punctuated with three birdies in her round of 86 strokes. It was good to see Debbie Cooper who is a player on the improve being one of two players to win balls with the other being Julie Murnane. The cut was 71 points.
The misty weather saw a smaller field on Friday for the nine hole competition with early rain clearing up later in the morning for the field to enjoy a dry round of fun golf.
The winner was the consistent Olwyn King with a well compiled 19 points.
